Paris Saint-Germain have officially signed former Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon on a free transfer.
A statement on PSG’s official website confirms Buffon has put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the option for a second.
The veteran arrives after 17 years at Juve, where he played 655 times, winning nine Scudetti and reaching three Champions League Finals, while featuring in the FIFPro World XI for 2017.

He also collected 176 caps for Italy, making him the player with the most appearances in the Azzurri’s history, and lifted the World Cup in 2006.
Buffon, who turned 40 in January, is expected to become PSG’s No 1 ahead of Alphonse Areola and Kevin Trapp.
