As expected, Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo has been left out of the Portugal squad for the Poland and Scotland games.

It was reported earlier today that the Ballon d’Or had asked not to be called for the October and November international breaks, the latter of which includes a game against Italy.

The first part of that has been confirmed, as Ronaldo is not included in the squad to face Poland in the Nations League, then Scotland in a friendly in Glasgow.
