“I’m convinced that the new coach of the Polish national team, thanks to his coaching class, experience and international knowledge, will give our national team a new impetus,” President Zbigniew Boniek said in a statement.
“I’m counting on him! Everyone, the federation, the players, our entire football family, we are at your disposal. Good luck Paolo!”
And Sousa thanked the President for the opportunity.
“I’m honoured and proud to be the coach of Poland,” he said. “I would like to start by thanking President Zbigniew Boniek and the entire board of directors for the fact that I can take on such a great challenge.”
