Marko Pjaca has left Juventus after seven years, joining Croatian side Rijeka on a permanent deal.

The Croatian has returned home after his unfortunate stay in Turin.

He had arrived for almost €30m in 2016 when he was regarded as one of the most promising talents in Europe.

He sustained a fibula injury in October 2016, remaining out of action for two months, but sadly, the worst had yet to come.

Pjaca suffered a cruciate ligament injury in 2017 and a new cruciate ligament rupture in 2019 when he was on loan at Fiorentina.

Overall, he played 21 games with Juventus, scoring one goal in a Champions League Round of 16 clash against Porto in his first season at the club.

He then went out on loan at Genoa, Torino, Fiorentina, Empoli, Schalke 04 and Anderlecht, returning to Turin every summer.

He has now left the Allianz Stadium permanently, as confirmed by Juventus on their official website.

“Marko Pjaca will play for Rijeka next season, joining the Croatian club on a permanent deal,” the Bianconeri said in a statement.

“Born in Zagreb in 1995, the Croatian winger joined Juventus in 2016, spending various spells out on loan at Schalke 04, Fiorentina, Anderlecht, Genoa, Torino and Empoli. With the Tuscan side last season, the 28-year-old made 17 appearances in Serie A.

“Good luck in your new adventure, Marko!”
