Milan boss Stefano Pioli has been named Serie A coach of the month for March.

“The Coach Of The Month award for March has been assigned to Milan coach Stefano Pioli. The trophy will be presented during the pre-match of Milan vs Bologna, scheduled for Monday 4th April 2022 at 8.45pm at the “Giuseppe Meazza” Stadium in Milan,” a Lega Serie A statement reads.

“The award was assigned by a jury of Directors of sports media who evaluated each coach on the basis of technical and sporting criteria and the quality of play of their teams, as well as their behaviour/fair play during matches.

“For the final calculation were considered the matchdays from 28 to 30 of Serie A 2021/2022.”

“The month of March saw Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan take the lead in the league table thanks to three wins in three games, including, above all, the direct clash against Napoli,” said Lega Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo.

“The Rossoneri coach has created a compact and aware group, where youth and experience are mixed into a solid and effective team still competing for the Serie A TIM championship and the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa.”

  1. Bravo, mister! Fully deserved. And God willing, he will be chosen as the best coach of the season, with AC Milan winning Serie A.

  2. Ex-Inter coach has father figure. Reminds me my father. He deserve scudetto, I say it as Inter fan. He had many injuries and also lost unfairly against Spezia. I want to win Inter 20th scudetto but Pioli deserve it. Respect for our ex-coach. 😌
