Baseball legend Mike Piazza has officially agreed terms to buy Lega Pro club Reggiana.
A statement was released this evening by AC Reggiana 1919 confirming they had reached an agreement with Mike Joseph Piazza to buy a majority share.
Piazza is a big fan of Italian football and had been in advanced negotiations to buy Parma last year, but the club’s accounts were in such bad shape that it could not have been salvaged.
Among others, Piazza was also linked with a possible bid for Palermo, the club his father supported, and Como.
