Nicolas Pepe has officially signed for Arsenal, completing a transfer believed to be worth €80m from Lille, after Napoli pulled out.
The Partenopei had been leading the race for the 20-year-old Ivorian winger, but it’s widely reported they refused to pay his agents up to €10m in commission.
According to Il Mattino newspaper, compared to the €10m offered to his agents by Arsenal, Napoli had proposed €1.7m spread out over five instalments.

The transfer fee of around €80m (£72m) remains the same and Pepe passed a medical, signing the contract with Arsenal.
The move allows Arsenal to break their transfer record, which was previously £56m for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January 2018.
