Roma have announced Javier Pastore’s contract with the Giallorossi has been terminated by mutual consent.

The former Argentina international, capped 29 times, has agreed to terminate his deal with La Lupa after three seasons in Rome.

His contract expired in June 2023, but Pastore, who arrived from Paris Saint-Germain in July 2018, leaves the club two years early.

The 32-year-old only played 37 competitive games with the Giallorossi since his arrival, contributing four goals and three assists in the process.

“AS Roma announce they have reached an agreement for the consensual termination of Javier Pastore’s contract,” the club wrote on Twitter. “The whole club wishes Javier the best of luck for the future.”

  1. Let’s hope the other two parasites, N’zonzi and Fazio will learn from this so they can walk away with some dignity.

  2. This means there could be one last arrival if we take Mourinhos word.

With or without that, Roma spent the most on transfers in Serie A so he was properly backed up by the board . No excuses for no trophy .

If they fail AGAIN, as a Lazio fan I will be laughing but I bet the whole League will.

  3. I said at the time he was an utter waste of money, and so it proved. One of the most overrated players I’ve ever seen.

  4. That is good, I wish the other 2 could also leave through such mutual consent. We are not in to win now but surely a surprise for a trophy isn’t far from fetched
