Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed the re-appointment of former Juventus executive Fabio Paratici as the club’s new sporting director, his second stint with the North Londoners: ‘I’m delighted to be returning to a club that I love’.

Official: Paratici is back with Tottenham again

Paratici, who spent a decade with Juventus as sporting director and later managing director, had previously served as Tottenham’s director of Football from 2021 to 2023.

However, he was handed a 30-month suspension by the FIGC in 2023, which was later upheld and extended worldwide by FIFA following an investigation into fictitious capital gains from his time with Juventus. That ban came to an end in July.

Paratici had been in talks over a move to join Milan as sporting director over the summer, but the Rossoneri decided to abandon their pursuit due to legal complications, and later settled on Igli Tare instead.

As Football Italia reported in May, a move back to Tottenham has always been on the cards for Paratici. The club have since confirmed his return to the club, this time serving as sporting director, a role that he will share with Johan Lange.

“I’m delighted to be returning to a club that I love,” Paratici said in a statement on the Tottenham website.

“I have been working with Johan, Vinai (Venkatesham) and Thomas (Frank) as a consultant for a number of months and I now look forward to returning to London and joining the team full-time. I’m convinced that working in partnership with Johan we can build a special future for the Club and our supporters.”

Tottenham have confirmed that they will also look to appoint a new director of football operations, who will support Paratici and Lange in their day-to-day roles.
