He scored within a minute of his Serie A debut for Milan, then had loan spells at Parma, Genoa and Chievo.
He eventually transferred to Chievo permanently in January 2013 for €6.5m and this season has eight goals in 21 Serie A games.
Paloschi joins ex-Parma Coach Francesco Guidolin at Swansea, although the Welsh club had been interested even before the Italian’s appointment.
Paloschi notched up 42 goals in 144 Serie A games for Chievo, plus three in nine Coppa Italia appearances.
His personal best was 13 goals in the 2013-14 campaign, a joint club record with Sergio Pellissier.
