Raffaele Palladino Fiorentina announcement

Fiorentina have officially announced the arrival of head coach Raffaele Palladino, who has signed a multi-year contract in Florence.

The Viola have been on the hunt for a new head coach for the last few weeks after it became clear that Vincenzo Italiano would not sign a new deal, ending a three-year spell in the Tuscany capital that saw the club reach two back-to-back Conference League finals.

Palladino quickly emerged as a leading candidate for Fiorentina, having shined over the last two years with Monza. He was keen for a new adventure and didn’t renew his contract with his Biancorossi, freeing him up to head to Florence.

During his time at Monza, the Italian coach guided Monza to an 11th place finish in Serie A in his first campaign and 12th in his second, showing a number of positives in the dugout.
