Palermo have officially confirmed the appointment of Giovanni Bosi as Coach, replacing Guillermo Barros Schelotto.

The Argentinian Coach left the Rosanero this morning, after UEFA failed to accept his licence to Coach in the Italian top-flight.

“After the difficult emergency caused by UEFA’s non-recognition of Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s coaching licence, the technical management of the first team has been entrusted to Primavera Coach Giovanni Bosi,” President Maurizio Zamparini announced in a statement.

“He’ll be assisted by Giovanni Tedesco and Palermo-native Francesco Sicari has also been promoted from the Primavera team to help with athletic preparation.”

Bosi is the sixth different tactician to sit on the Rosanero bench this season, with Beppe Iachini having been in charge at the start of the season.

Davide Ballardini replaced him on the bench, but was dismissed after a spectacular falling-out with the squad.

Fabio Viviani and Bosi took over on an interim basis, before Schelotto arrived, but Giovanni Tedesco was named as Coach until the Argentine could get his licence.

Now Bosi has been appointed on a permanent basis.
