Olympiacos have officially announced the arrival of Norwegian forward Ola Solbakken, who has joined from Roma.
The 24-year-old joined the Giallorossi from Bodo/Glimt in January of this year on a free transfer, adding a talented but relatively untested forward to Jose Mourinho’s squad.
In his first half-season in the Italian capital, Solbakken made 15 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
As announced today, Solbakken has officially joined Olympiacos from Roma on a €1.5m loan deal with a €5.5m buy option attached.
Interestingly, the €1.5m fee will be lowered based on the amount of appearances he makes for the Greek side.
Solbakken emerged on the European scene during the 2021-22 season, when he scored 11 goals and provided nine assists in 32 total appearances for Bodo/Glimt.
Roma have bolstered their frontline this summer, picking up Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea and Sardar Azmoun from Bayer Leverkusen on loan.
Like Eldor, an improperly used talent, now shunted off elsewhere to make space room and financial balancing.
