“Welcome to Antonio Nocerino, my former teammate at AC Milan and now he’s going to join us for this season. Thank you Nocerino for your choice,” said Kaka in a video on the club’s official Twitter feed.

“Welcome, my friend!” he then added in Italian.

Head Coach Adrian Heath believes “Nocerino is an energetic and hard-working box-to-box midfielder that can provide an immediate impact within the squad.

“He has a tremendous amount of experience playing at the highest level and his ability to play numerous roles in the midfield will be an incredible asset for us this season. We’re looking forward to working with him.”
DC United had originally tried to bring Nocerino to Major League Soccer, but the player preferred Orlando City and the chance to reunite with Kaka.
