“AC Milan communicate that today in Amsterdam, M'Baye Niang underwent a specialised visit with Professor Niek Van Dijk, who established that ligament lesion of the left ankle will require a surgical operation,” reads the statement.

“The operation will be performed by Professofr Van Dijk next Friday.

“Professor Van Dijk also effected a clinical and radiographic control on Rodrigo Ely. In the next two weeks the player will undergo a program of rehabilitation that will take him back to professional sport.”
