Napoli have officially announced the arrival of defender Natan Bernardo De Souza from RB Bragantino.

The defending champions sold centre back Kim Min-Jae to Bayern Munich last month for €50m, forcing them to find a replacement for the South Korean star.

After considering a number of options, including RC Lens’ Kevin Danso, Napoli decided to move forward for Natan and agreed a deal understood to be worth around €10m with RB Bragantino.

As announced today, Natan has officially joined Napoli after putting pen to paper on his five-year contract. The defender arrived at the retreat in Castel di Sangro yesterday and watched the 1-0 friendly win over Augsburg.

The 22-year-old Brazilian centre back made 103 appearances across all competitions for RB Bragantino, scoring three goals and providing two assists. He was part of the Flamengo squad that won the Brazilian title in 2020.

Napoli are expected to make a few more additions before the start of their season, which kicks off on August 19 against Frosinone.
