Napoli have officially completed the signing of full-back Kevin Malcuit from Lille.

The Partenopei announced the news via their Twitter account, with the 27-year-old moving to San Paolo on a permanent deal.

He underwent a medical at the club’s Villa Stuart clinic yesterday, with official confirmation coming this morning that the Frenchman is now a Napoli player.

Malcuit’s arrival ends the Azzurri’s lengthy pursuit of a full-back in this summer’s transfer window.

Malcuit’s arrival ends the Azzurri’s lengthy pursuit of a full-back in this summer’s transfer window.

The likes of Santiago Arias, Matteo Darmian and Sime Vrsaljko were all linked with the club at some stage, while the signing of Bordeaux’s Youssouf Sabaly was called off after he failed a medical.

Malcuit, who has played for Monaco and Saint-Etienne as well as Lille, will now ply his trade outside France for the first time in his career.
