Napoli have officially confirmed the signing of Denmark international Jesper Lindstrom on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt with an obligation to buy.
It is believed that the Partenopei will pay Eintracht €5m for the first season, also committing to buy the 23-year-old outright for a fee of €20m including bonuses at a later date. Lindstrom’s former club Brondby will also receive 15% of the transaction.
Lindstrom has put pen to paper on a five-year contract in Campania, which will run until the summer of 2028. Reports suggest that he is set to take home around €2.5m per season.
The Dane has been in Italy since Monday and underwent his medical and contract signing at the club’s headquarters earlier on Tuesday.
Having scooped up the Bundesliga’s Rookie of the Season award during his maiden campaign in Germany in 2021-22, Lindstrom has since gone on to rack up 12 league goals and nine assists over the last two seasons.
He has also been handed 10 caps for Denmark since the year 2020, registering his first international goal in a friendly against Serbia in 2022.
Speaking for the first time since his unveiling, Lindstrom told Napoli supporters: “I am very happy to join this club and looking forward to seeing you out in the stadium.”
