Napoli have officially sent defender Natan to Real Betis on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season for a total €9m.

The deal had already been made over the last few days and he flew in for a medical, passing the tests in Seville.

This afternoon, the Partenopei and Spaniards announced the loan move with an option to buy.

According to Sky Sport Italia and others, the cost of the loan spell is just under €1m, while Real Betis can make the move permanent by paying a further €8m in June 2025.

Natan failed to make impact at Napoli

The Brazilian is only 23 years of age and Napoli purchased him last summer from RB Bragantino for €10m.

He was meant to be the replacement for Kim Min-jae following the sale to Bayern Munich, but failed to make an impact with just 21 competitive appearances for the club, 17 of them in the starting XI.

Natan was also out of action for a couple of months with a freak injury, having dislocated his clavicle.
