The 31-year-old first joined Inter on loan in January 2011, helping his new club win the Coppa Italia later that season.
Although he was unable to add to his trophy haul, he went on to make 213 appearances for the club.
However, he began to slide down the Nerazzurri pecking order and joined Galatasaray on loan in January this year.
And in a statement on their official website, Inter announced they had agreed to allow the player to move to Turkey permanently.
“After eight seasons, 213 appearances and 13 goals with the Nerazzurri colours, the Japanese defender is preparing for a new adventure in Turkey,” the statement reads.
“Everyone at the club thanks him for the years spent together and we sincerely wish him the best of luck in his future professional challenges.
“Arigato Yuto!”
