The Moldovan Football Federation has announced Roberto Bordin as Moldova’s new head coach.

The former midfielder started his career as coach in Triestina, before he took over Sheriff Tiraspol, where he won the Moldovian League and Cup in 2016-17.

His most recent experience was with Neftchi Baku in Azerbaijan and has been without a club since January 2020.

The 56-year-old’s played 311 games in Serie A across stints with Atalanta, Napoli, Cesena and Piacenza.
