Juventus have confirmed the signing of Arkadiusz Milik on an initial loan deal from Marseille, revealing the figures behind the deal.

The former Napoli striker joins the Bianconeri on an initial paid loan deal with an option to buy for €7m plus €2m add-ons.

“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that an agreement with Olympique de Marseille
for the temporary acquisition, until 30 June 2023, of the registration rights of the player Arkadiusz Krystian Milik has been finalized for a consideration of € 0.8 million, with the addition of ancillary costs of € 0.1 million, which might be increased up to a maximum of € 0.8 milion upon achievement of specific sporting performance objectives,” Juventus said in a statement.

“The agreement further entails the right for Juventus to definitively acquire the player’s registration rights for an agreed consideration of € 7.0 million, payable in three years, which might be increased up to a maximum of € 2.0 million upon achievement of further sporting performance objectives over the duration of the employment contract with the player.”

Milik arrived in Turin yesterday and underwent his medicals at the J Medical straight away.

The Poland international will likely become Dusan Vlahovic’s backup in Turin. The 28-year-old had left Italy in January 2021, when he joined Marseille from Napoli.

He has scored 28 goals in 93 Serie A appearances and netted 16 goals in 40 Ligue 1 games at Marseille.

Juventus had chased Barcelona’s Memphis Depay for several weeks but eventually went for the ex-Napoli striker who was available at a lower price.

Thanks to the money saved to sign Milik, the Bianconeri have a part of their transfer budget left to get Leandro Paredes from PSG. The Argentina international could be Juventus’last summer signing.

  1. Rather Depay, he is more versatile.

Let’s see what Milik can do, seems like a Vlahovic clone in movement

  2. PhD Max can have the MilkMan all he wants and fill him up with his man milk. It still wont solve the problem that he doesn’t have Tek’s kielbasa or the Pog-bamboo.
