Official: Milan send Krunic to Fenerbahce

Milan have officially sent midfielder Rade Krunic to Fenerbahce after months of negotiations and it is a loan deal with obligation to buy under certain conditions.

There have been genuine doubts over what the exact figures are for the transfer and the statement will only raise further eyebrows.

“AC Milan can confirm that Rade Krunić has joined Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü on a loan deal, which will contain an obligation to make the deal permanent should certain conditions be met.

“The Club would like to wish Rade all the best for this coming adventure.”

The reports have said it is anywhere from €4.5m including bonuses to €5m plus another €1m in add-ons to complete the transfer.

According to MilanNews.it, the ‘conditions’ are just a formality and it will be extremely difficult for Krunic not to make the move permanent.

Matteo Moretto is more specific, noting the ‘conditions’ are that Fenerbahce avoid relegation this season.

Talks had been going on since last summer, when Fenerbahce did not reach the asking price and Milan hoped to still extend his contract.

With that deal running down in June 2025, Milan opted to pull the plug in January and coach Stefano Pioli said in a press conference it was “best for him and for us” if Krunic found himself another club.

The 30-year-old joined Milan from Empoli for €8.6m in the summer of 2019 and went on to make 139 competitive appearances for the Rossoneri.

He scored three goals and provided six assists, as well as picking up 27 yellow cards.
