Verona defender Rafael Marquez has officially completed a return to his boyhood team, Atlas.
The 36-year-old has made nine starts for the Butei in Serie A so far this season, but has played just twice since October, with Hellas rooted to the bottom of the League.
It has now been confirmed that the former Barcelona centre-back will return to his native Mexico, to play for the team he started his career with.

“Atlas FC announces that we have reached an agreement with the defender Rafael Marquez,” Los Zorros announced on their official website.
“He will wear our shirt for the second time, starting from the ‘Clausura’ [winter League] in 2016.
“We warmly welcome one of the greatest representatives of our club, and hope that this new stage of his career is full of success.”
