Parma have officially announced Enzo Maresca as their new head coach at the Ennio Tardini.

The former midfielder has left his job at Manchester City U23 and joins Parma in their battle for an immediate return to Serie A.

The Gialloblu have been relegated and confirmed the departure of Roberto D’Aversa and sporting director Marcello Carli.

And Maresca has been appointed to replace D’Aversa and help bring the Ducali back to Serie A on the first attempt.

“Best wishes for this new experience to Enzo, from the President Kyle Krause and from all of Parma Calcio,” the club wrote in a statement.

Maresca arrives after having won the Premier League 2 in his last experience at Manchester City.

The former Hellas Verona, Palermo, Sampdoria, Fiorentina and Bologna player has previously worked as an assistant coach at West Ham, Sevilla and Ascoli.
