Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have officially signed two-year contract renewals with Milan.

The pair are key parts of the Rossoneri management structure, being technical director and sporting director respectively, and their expiring contracts were the talk of the Lombardy capital, with many fans extremely concerned that the duo would depart today.

As announced by Milan, Maldini and Massara have put pen to paper on a two-year contract renewal, tying them to the club until 2024. With the situation now fully resolved, the pair can turn all their attention to the summer transfer window.

The Rossoneri are currently in the process of a takeover, with Elliot Management completing a €1.2 billion sale to RedBird, and it’s unclear how much investment they’ll receive this summer as they look to strengthen their squad in an effort to defend their Scudetto.

Amid the uncertainty, Maldini and Massara will work to provide Stefano Pioli with the most suitable players possible.
