Olympique Lyonnais have officially confirmed the signing of Roma defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa.
It was revealed last night that the Ligue 1 side were on the verge of completing a deal for the centre-back, who flew out for a medical.
“Olympique Lyonnais is pleased to announce the arrival of French international defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa from AS Roma, who signed a five-year contract on Friday evening,” the French club said in a statement.

“The transfer is worth €8m, and could be supplemented by a further €2m in bonuses.”
The transfer represents a profit for the Giallorossi, who signed Yanga-Mbiwa for €7.7m in January after an initial loan move from Newcastle United.
