Milan have officially sold Luiz Adriano to Spartak Moscow, reportedly for a minimal fee.

The Brazilian striker arrived in Moscow this evening and was pictured signing the contract on the official Spartak Moscow website.

“I am happy to join Spartak,” said the 29-year-old. “I will try to honour the red and white shirt. I hope to score many goals and win the title.”

He was then given a tour of the Spartak Moscow museum by director Alexey Matveev.

Milan released a statement too confirming Luiz Adriano had been sold on a permanent basis, but did not specify the financial details.

It’s widely reported Spartak paid a minimal fee, in the range of €1m, as the Rossoneri are eager to save on his wages.

He was under contract until June 2020, having arrived from Shakhtar Donetsk for €8m in July 2015.

Luiz Adriano scored six goals with four assists in 36 competitive games for Milan.
