Sampdoria have officially extended Dawid Kownacki’s loan at Fortuna Dusseldorf with obligation to buy for €9m.
The Poland international had spent the last six months in Germany and made it clear he wanted to remain there rather than return to Marassi.
“UC Sampdoria can confirm that Dawid Kownacki has joined Fortuna Dusseldorf on loan with an obligation to make the deal permanent,” read a statement.
The cost of the operation is believed to be around €9m.
