Kalidou Koulibaly has officially renewed his Napoli contract, extending his stay until 2021.

It appeared this summer that the centre-back would be leaving the Partenopei, with persistent links to English side Chelsea.

The defender became frustrated after renewal talks stalled, telling L’Équipe that he’d probably be leaving San Paolo.

However, the club and President Aurelio De Laurentiis have now confirmed that Koulibaly has signed a two-year extension.
