Japan international Daichi Kamada has officially signed for Lazio as a free agent, but cannot play until he has secured all the work permits.

The creative midfielder turns 27 tomorrow and was out of contract after his deal with Eintracht Frankfurt was allowed to run down.

He underwent all his medical tests today and put pen to paper on a two-year contract with option to add a third.

A statement from Lazio confirms Kamada is their new player, but will only join up with Maurizio Sarri’s squad once he has completed all the paperwork to get a work permit.

The Biancocelesti had initially rejected his personal terms, including commission for his agents, but were reportedly able to make the deal thanks to help from sponsors Mizuno.
