Juventus have officially terminated their contract with Aaron Ramsey by mutual consent, reportedly by giving him severance pay of over €3m.

The midfielder had joined as a free agent after leaving Arsenal in 2019 and that status allowed Juve to offer him a huge contract at €7m per season.

It was due to expire in June 2023, but the Wales international was not part of Max Allegri’s plans and Juve preferred to terminate the deal early rather than try to find a buyer.

Negotiations dragged on for weeks to reach an agreement, but they finally managed to work out the details today.

It was reported Juve had offered €2m severance pay, while Ramsey was demanding €4m, but it’s believed they met in the middle at just over €3m.

Ramsey had been loaned out to Glasgow Rangers in January 2022.

He made only 69 competitive appearances for Juventus, scoring six goals and contributing six assists.

The 31-year-old was beset by numerous injury problems, especially last season, where he played just five games for the Old Lady.

Ramsey is expected to return to the Premier League.

  1. Get rid of Rabiot and Arthur as well ASAP and get Paredes or Zaniolo with the leftover of De Ligt transfer sum

  2. How much do you guys think Juventus will pay to terminate an injured Pogba’s contract

Would like to hear insights from Juvesia, Mohamed and Cypher the 3 stooges of Juvetus trolls

  3. Poor player but he is not to blame. If I were in his shoes I would want the money as the career of players are not long. Pathetic club to have even got into this situation to begin with.

  4. Who is blaming him? And of course he is full right to milk every penny, but gtfo with “poor player”.. poor multimillionaire little player getting paid millions for sitting on the bench.

  5. The player is partially to blame but it has to fall mainly on the club. The club offered him 7m a year for 4 years. It’s not his fault it didn’t work out. This is what happens when you throw money around.
