Juventus defender Dean Huijsen, 18, currently on loan at Roma, has received his first call-up to the U21 Spain national team for games against Slovakia and Belgium.

Huijsen was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on April 14, 2005, but has a Spanish passport, which allowed him to earn his first call-up to the Spain U21 national team.

This means he will be available for games against Slovakia on March 21 and Belgium on March 26.

The 18-year-old centre-back joined Roma on loan from Juventus in the January transfer window.

He has made 11 appearances in Serie A this season scoring two goals, both for the Giallorossi.

Roma do not have an option to make his move permanent at the end of the season, so Huijsen is expected to return to Juventus at the end of the current campaign.

His contract at the Allianz Stadium expires in June 2028. The U21 Spain international penned a new deal with the Old Lady before joining Roma on a temporary transfer two months ago.
