Wojciech Szczęsny is not available for today’s Serie A game against Bologna, while Moise Kean is back but is expected to start on the bench.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has just released his squad list for the upcoming league game against Bologna, the first one at home for the Old Lady in 2023-24. It kicks off at 17:30 BST at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

As highly anticipated, Poland international Szczesny won’t be available, having sustained a slight injury during a training session earlier this week.

During his pre-match press conference on Saturday, Allegri said: “Szczesny won’t be there, he received a knock and won’t be there.”

Therefore, Mattia Perin will make his 2023-24 Serie A debut in goal. Giovanni Garofani, 20, has been called up as a third-choice goalkeeper against Bologna. Mattia De Sciglio is out too due to a severe knee injury sustained in the final stages of 2022-23.

Kean is back on the squad list after missing this season’s Serie A debut against Udinese due to a slight injury.

However, the Italy international is expected to start on the bench, with Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic in attack.
