Juventus have confirmed the signing of Polish international Arkadiusz Milik on a permanent deal from Marseille, having spent the 2022-23 season in Turin on an initial loan deal with the Bianconeri.
Milik, who joined Juventus with a non-mandatory option to buy clause in August 2022, has made his return to Italy permanent at a cost of €6.3m, payable over a three-year period, with an additional €1.1m set aside for performance-related bonuses.
Juventus had initially hoped to get a minor discount on the originally proposed €7m fee.
Milik has made 39 appearances across all competitions for Juventus over the course of the 2022-23 season, chipping in with nine goals and one assist along the way.
Juventus’ official press release, published on Wednesday evening, read: “Juventus Football Club announces that it has exercised the option for the outright acquisition of the player Arkadiusz Krystian Milik, from Olympique de Marseille, for a fee of € 6.3 million, payable in three financial years starting from July 2023.”
The club website added that Milik is: “now fully Bianconero.”
