Juventus have officially announced the arrival of Gleison Bremer, who has joined from Torino in a deal worth €50m total.

The 25-year-old Brazilian centre back exploded under Ivan Juric last season and proved himself to be one of the best defenders in Italy, attracting the attention of a number of clubs. Inter were long interested and a move to the Lombardy capital seemed likely, but Juventus entered the fray after completing the sale of Matthijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich, and they outbid their rivals.

Juventus’ announcement confirms that Bremer will join in a deal worth €41m plus €9m in add-ons, and he’s signed a five-year contract with the club worth €4m net per season plus €1m in add-ons.

Bremer is a much-needed addition to Massimiliano Allegri’s backline in Turin following the departures of De Ligt and Giorgio Chiellini, and he’ll likely be deployed alongside Leonardo Bonucci.

The Brazilian spent four years with Torino, from 2018 to 2022. In that time, he made 110 appearances across all competitions.

  1. Crazy tranfer. We are turning italian leagues to psg league or english league. How can a club pay 50 million for a player that will be available for 15 million in january of 2023. I hope he does well for juventus. We all know this is crazy tranfer. I know for sure marota will never pay such money . Like i said i hope he played well for juventus but tje tranfer is too high for defender that had been in seria for almost 5 years and only had one good season

  2. Too much money for a one hit season player. He can of course do well but the 25m-30m price was correct

It’s not fair to say Bremer have only one good season under his belts. He has had 2 or 3 good seasons and he is only 25.
I am much more happy if Bremer move to juve means that Skriniar will stay at inter. Skriniar is a much better defender than Bremer when staying back and bremer is better than skriniar in oddensive movements but with lukaku’s arrival I don’t think that inter needs that offensive moves that much. Anyway I believe in Marrota

  4. By 2024 either Marotta or the owners will need to leave because they both won’t carry on with one needing money and the other refusing it

Bremer has Said he would renew His contract just to make sure Torino got payed IF he wasnt sold this summer. So No, No One would be buying him for 15 Mil.

And if we going to mention marota, he did increase inters bid to 30M + Casadei (7.5)M, so he offered basicly 38M. Luckily Inter is poor thanks to marota giving out Huge contracts to Dzeko (9M), Vidal and Sanchez

  6. Totally gonna be a failed transfer. Too much hype for a player that has played for mid-table fighting Torino. Like with De Ligt, few good performances landed him a €75 Mil transfer to Juve. Lasted a few years only. Now off to Bayern… Its a circus.

  7. dollarumma

Doubt that. I think you havent seen enough of Bremer. Best centre back last season (awarded) is few Good preformaces?

Time Will tell but Bremer Will dominate for Many years to come

  8. CALMAAA!!!

Bremer is in safe hands. If anyone can make a defender defend more, it is no other than the defensive coach of the Century better known as Padlock Max. In fact all players up their defensive game no matter where they are on the field, as Obi Wan Max makes sure to keep the bolt fully locked, for at least 82 mins per game. That leaves obviously 8 mins to find a goal from a corner, set piece, sheer luck or a penalty. I would worry more about the Chiesa when he comes back and if Zaniolo arrives. Nicolo will not be playing on the wings but as the direct replacement for Chiellini.

  9. I remember the same hype was around a guy called De Ligt. I wonder how that turned out to be. Skriniar staying is way better than a getting a risky player who might fail in a big club. Let’s not forget that Torino are a relegation fighting club and the pressure of a big club is not something all players can handle. Skriniar however have shown his value in all competitions EL, CL, Serie a and at international level.PSG were getting a bargain but now they won’t be getting anything and most Inter fans will be happy that he gets to stay.

  10. So for 50m euros – juve didnt want to sign Pau Torres – thought it was too high, but signed bremer. Lets see how he goes.

4m salary – good – not too expensive

    All the best to him,

  11. Well i dont hate on the guy bremen. I wish him all the best. I just dont want them to turn seria a to another over paying player league. If bremen was that good brazil would have invite it. The funny thing is that tbe guy will end up playing for italy mational team. I just think 50 m is too much. And am very sure they know its too much they jusy boUght him in emergency situation. I just home he didnt turn out to be another juan jesus of inter milan.

  12. That price tag is not justified despite having 1-2 good seasons. Bremer has never played in European competition and no international experience. Juventus certainly got one up over Inter, but I think Marotta must have thought it would be madness to spend that type of figure for reasons I mentioned.

  13. Yes I think a bit overpriced. But Juve needed him more than Inter, simple as that.

Plus he’s already accustomed to Serie A. Getting another defender from another league would be a gamble.

  14. Wow what magnificent work by the board. What’s even sweater is that we highjacked him right out of Inters hands. I saw like 6 Torino games last season and in each of those games this guy was brilliant. Best replacement for De Ligt we could have gotten, especially that he has experience in the league. This kind of reminds me a bit when we sold Zidane and got Nedved. I really hope he lives up to the hype.

  15. White Rabbit, the Zidane transfer was the transfer of the millenium. Not only did Juve get Nedved (a future Ballon D’Or) but also one of the finest centre backs to play the game in Thuram and the best goalkeeper of all time in Gigi. This transfer does not have anywhere near the same impact, but if I was to choose one of Bremer or De Ligt, I would go for Bremer. De Ligt had a propensity to handball in the box and his positional play was poor at times. Bremer, on the other hand handled Vlahovic like a rag doll and totally destroyed him as he did with most strikers in Serie A last season. I understand Inter fans being disappointed and making it sound like he’s a one season wonder now that they failed to buy him, but Bremer is the real deal. Virgil Van Dijk did not explode onto the scene ’till he was 24-25 either.

  16. @anon, they are funny guys… So salty with Bremer’s arrival to Juve. lol

@frankie, agree. Bremer is the real deal. On the pitch, he is so calm and ruthless at the same time. I think 41-50m is a reasonable price and only mediocre Marotta and his worshippers can think otherwise. This reminds me of Marotta letting Veratti away to PSG at the last minute.

  17. Don “Fisheye” Marotta must be raging at his Chinese bosses, since he can only offer penny’s for signing players. This “we got no cash”-transfer strategy must be a nightmare for all InterMerda’s.
    #SkriniarIsNext #NoMoneyNoParty

  18. Cigarette salesman undersold De Light (Juventus payed more for him) and overpayed for Bremer! But at least they have a better player than that volleyball dutchman.

50M is crazy figure for a player available for 15M in 6 months! For 50M one could sign Pau Torres.
But Juventus wanted to make sure they steal Inter`s target in case Skriniar is sold – this is what Juventus do best.

So much for player loyalty and promises towards club and fans… Modern football does not represent me.

  19. Don’t worry my child @PARATICI. I will get our revenge by snatching Juve’s best defender Rugani to Inter! Mark my word! Now kiss my hand and bow down to me!

  20. Paratici, you just don’t get how this thing works. In 6 month’s time, Bremer’s reputation was only going to grow thus enticing the rich EPL clubs, PSG and RM. He may have had a $15M buy out clause then, but other clubs would have offered him double the wages so Juventus did the smart thing and got in early. Good CB’s are difficult to get and Juve have got themselves a gem. BTW, Bremer is > Torres.
