Juventus starlet Kaio Jorge is expected to remain out of action for eight months after undergoing knee surgery this morning.

The 20-year-old picked up an injury during yesterday’s Serie C clash between Juventus Under 23 and Pro Patria at the Stadio Moccagatta in Alessandria.

This morning, he underwent knee surgery and will remain out of action for approximately eight months.

“This morning, at the Sedes Sapientiae clinic, Kaio Jorge underwent surgery following a rupture of the patellar tendon of his right knee,” Juventus statement read.

“The surgery, performed by Prof. Roberto Rossi in the presence of the Juventus team doctor, Dr. Marco Freschi, was a complete success. The recovery time is approximately eight months.”

Kaio Jorge played 11 games at a senior level this term and scored one goal in two appearances with the U23 squad which plays in Serie C, Italy’s third division.
