Luca Pellegrini has officially joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan deal from Juventus.

The 23-year-old Italian full back broke into the Bianconeri first team last season under Massimiliano Allegri, finally donning the club’s shirt in Serie A for the first time since his arrival in July 2019. He made 21 appearances last campaign, struggling to displace Alex Sandro in the starting lineup.

As announced by Juventus, Pellegrini has now left Turin to join Eintracht Frankfurt on a year-long loan deal. The Bundesliga side are bringing him in as a short-term replacement for Filip Kostic, who just left Germany for the North East of Italy.

Since joining the Bianconeri in the summer of 2019, the Italian full back has spent time on loan with Cagliari and Genoa, impressing when given consistent minutes. He’ll be hoping to continue his development and add some new layers to his game in the Bundesliga.

  1. Lord Sandro is the biggest winner. Kostic will need to be given 3 months learning Allegri’s vision before setting foot on the pitch.

  2. Allegri loves those 35 year old wingbacks to keep pace . Anyone Italian pro under 24 should just leave serie a and go abroad, at least they will get playing time.

  3. @ForzaJuve – it will be kostic playing as LWB – as well as LW – and then sandro as LWB as second option if we play 352

  4. Not understand what is wrong with this site that I had to write like that to be posted… Tried 10 times writting normaly
