Juventus have officially appointed Francesco Calvo as their new Chief Football Officer as part of a general reshuffle of the board of directors.

The entire board resigned after the Prisma investigation into Juventus finances, with the evidence then resulting in a 15-point Serie A penalty for artificially inflating transfer fees to boost capital gains.

New President Gianluca Ferrero and CEO Maurizio Scanavino were given the main roles this week and they continue to readjust in the wake of the transformation.

It was today announced that Francesco Calvo, who was already the Chief of Staff of Juventus, has now been appointed as Chief Football Officer, reporting to Scanavino.

The Football Director, Federico Cherubini, the Women’s Football Director, Stefano Braghin, and the Head of Football Operations, Paolo Morganti will report to the Chief Football Officer.

Cherubini was the only figure to remain from the previous administration, acting as a bridge from the old Juventus hierarchy to the new.

However, he was also therefore one of those suspended as part of the capital gains ruling, so is not allowed to work on transfer deals.
