Napoli have officially extended their contract with defender Juan Jesus until June 2025, with an option to add another two seasons after that.

The Brazilian put pen to paper on the new deal this afternoon in the presence of President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

He is now tied to Napoli until June 2025, with a further option to extend to June 2027.

The 31-year-old had only been under contract until the end of this season, although the club did have an option to add another year at the end.

Juan Jesus has spent most of his career in Italy, coming to Inter in January 2012, then having experiences at Roma before leaving as a free agent and signing for Luciano Spalletti’s Napoli in August 2021.

So far this season, the centre-back has made 11 appearances for the Partenopei in all competition, scoring two goals.

He had only signed a new deal with the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona side in May 2022.
