Juventus have officially signed Juan Cabal from Hellas Verona for €11m plus up to another €3.8m in bonuses, snatching him from under the noses of Inter.

The left-back, who can also play as a central defender, had been all set for a move to San Siro after the clubs agreed a €10m plus bonuses move and personal terms too.

However, yesterday Juve swooped in and suddenly managed to secure a deal instead.

Juventus swoop for Cabal

As always, Juventus are floated on the stock exchange and therefore are legally obliged to make very clear statements on the financial details of every transfer.

In this case, they have paid Verona €11m – payable over three financial years – with the addition of ancillary costs up to €1.8m.

There are also performance-related bonuses of up to €2m.

Cabal has signed a contract with the Bianconeri to June 2029.

It represents a huge profit for Verona, who only purchased the 23-year-old Colombia international from Atletico Nacional in 2022 for €3.5m, although his old club gets 20 per cent of the sell-on fee.

He has 33 Serie A appearances under his belt.
