The FIGC confirmed on Monday that the Azzurri would travel to Wembley on March 27, before facing Germany in Nuremberg only four days later – two matches that will live up to Mancini’s request of testing his men against the best national teams.
Last summer, Germany surprisingly fell at the first hurdle during the group stage of the 2018 World Cup, but England managed to reach the semi-finals, where they lost to Croatia.
Italy have been drawn in Group A of the tournament – against Switzerland, Turkey and Wales – and will complete their preparations against Czech Republic in front of their own fans on June 4.
