“FC Internazionale Milano can confirm that Radja Nainggolan has been temporarily suspended from football activity for disciplinary reasons.”

It's reported he turned up late to training this morning, as he already had done several times this week.

This is a strong statement from Inter, because it means he'll be left out of the squad for the Boxing Day showdown with second-placed Napoli.

The 30-year-old was signed from Roma over the summer for €38m plus Nicolò Zaniolo, but has struggled to make an impact.

The Belgium international scored three goals in 15 competitive appearances for the Nerazzurri.

It has been a rough week for Nainggolan, as he reportedly had €150,000 stolen by a gang that falsified his cheques.

However, the investigation turned up that he had incurred huge losses during several trips to the casino in Montecarlo in August.

'Ninja' was suspended for disciplinary reasons by Roma in January because he was out partying on New Year's Eve and uploaded video on to Instagram of himself swearing and making offensive comments while inebriated.
