Inter have confirmed their striker Joaquín Correa sustained a flexor injury. Therefore he will miss tomorrow’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid.

The Nerazzurri have already qualified for the last 16, but can win their group if they beat Carlo Ancelotti’s side at the Bernabeu.

They will be without their striker Correa who sustained a muscular injury against Roma on Saturday.

Inter provided an official injury update on the ex-Lazio forward.

“Joaquin Correa underwent MRI at the Humanitas Clinical Institute in Rozzano,” the statement read.

“The exam highlighted a muscular strain to the left thigh flexors. The player will be reassessed next week.”

Correa, 27, has scored four goals in 16 appearances across all competitions this season.

He has played four Champions League games but failed to score in any of those.

The Argentinean striker joined Inter from Lazio over the summer on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for €30m.
