Inter have officially sold Italy Under-21 international Giovanni Fabbian to Bologna after Lazar Samardzic wrecked the move to Udinese.
The transfer was finally completed this afternoon for a reported €5m in cash, while Inter retain a buy-back clause believed to be worth €12m.
Fabbian had originally been due to join Udinese as part of an exchange deal involving Samardzic.
The medicals had been passed without issue only for Samardzic’s entourage to suddenly change the personal terms requested of Inter.
Instead, Bologna dived in to take Fabbian, who is a product of the Inter youth academy and spent last season on loan at Reggina in Serie B.
Frosinone and Genoa had also shown an interest in securing the 20-year-old.
