Inter have officially sent striker Andrea Pinamonti on loan to Empoli, where he reunites with Italy Under-21 international Patrick Cutrone.
The 22-year-old was announced today after the move had been expected for several weeks.
Pinamonti could not be released until Inter had brought in a suitable replacement, and that comes in the form of Lazio forward Joaquin Correa, who should have his medical this evening.
Pinamonti is a product of the Inter youth academy and already had spells at Frosinone and Genoa.
This is a dry loan, so there is no option to buy at the end of the season.
Empoli also picked up 23-year-old Cutrone on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, and the pair often played together for the Italy Under-21 side.
