Dalbert has now completed his transfer from Inter to Cagliari, on loan with option to buy for circa €7m.

The deal had been done last week, but the details took some time to whittle down before this afternoon’s announcement.

Dalbert arrives on loan until June 2022 with an option to buy at the end of the season, which is reported to be worth €7m.

The Brazilian can play on the left as a full-back or a wing-back and he turns 28 in September.

Trabzonspor and CSKA Moscow had also been interested in Dalbert, but he intends to continue his career in Serie A.

He just returned to Inter after a loan spell with Rennes in France, having previously gone to Fiorentina in 2019-20.

This is one of several deals that Inter and Cagliari are working on, as they also want Radja Nainggolan to make his loan move to Sardinia permanent, while Nahitan Nandez is discussing his possible switch to San Siro.
