Inter have officially sent Joaquin Correa to Olympique Marseille on loan with an option to buy that could become an obligation if they qualify for the Champions League.

The Argentina international was in France today to complete his medical and put pen to paper on the contract this evening.

Marseille released a statement confirming the deal had been completed on loan with an option to buy.

According to multiple Italian and French reports, Olympique Marseille have paid €2m for the one-season loan and will pay another €10m to make the move permanent.

That option becomes an obligation if the Ligue 1 side manages to qualify for the Champions League at the end of this season.

‘Tucu’ Correa had already been very close to Olympique Marseille last summer before deciding to remain at San Siro.

The forward turned 29 earlier this month and had been in Italy since 2018, first with Lazio and then moving to Inter in 2021 for a total fee of €33m.
