Official: Inter confirm Frattesi signing from Sassuolo

Inter have officially announced the signing of midfielder Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo on Thursday evening.

The 23-year-old joins the Nerazzurri on an initial 12-month loan deal with an obligation to buy from February 2024 onwards. His contract will run for five years until the summer of 2028.

It is understood by Calciomercato that Frattesi will earn an annual salary of around €2.8m during his stay at San Siro.

Frattesi, who came up through the youth ranks of both Lazio and Roma, joined Sassuolo in 2017, before being sent out on three separate loan deals to Serie B, with Ascoli, Empoli and Monza.

Since then, he has gone on to register 72 appearances in the top flight for Sassuolo, including 26 during the 2022-23 season, in which he chipped in with seven league goals.

Frattesi becomes Inter’s fourth summer acquisition, following the permanent arrivals of Francesco Acerbi and Kristjan Asslani and the free signing of France international Marcus Thuram.
