Zlatan Ibrahimovic has officially signed a six-month contract with Milan, including option to extend for another season, and will wear Number 21.

The 38-year-old was greeted at Linate Airport this morning by director Zvonimir Boban and spent all afternoon undergoing various medical tests.

He passed them all with flying colours and has put pen to paper on his contract with Milan.

It runs to June 2020, with option to extend for the 2020-21 season, which can be automatically activated if certain terms are met.

As it has already been registered with the Lega Serie A, he could in theory make his debut on Monday against Sampdoria.

This represents a return to San Siro for Ibra, who left nine years ago to join Paris Saint-Germain.

In this second Rossoneri era, Ibrahimovic will wear the Number 21 jersey.

“I have always said that this is my home and finally I am back. I’ve been through other clubs in the meantime, but I have returned and that’s the important thing,” Ibra told Milan TV.

“Finally I am here, wait for me at San Siro and we’ll get it jumping again.”
